Legacy Property Group has been thoughtfully engaged in the real estate market since 1994. The firm’s first major enterprise was the assemblage of 3 city blocks in Downtown Atlanta near the Georgia World Congress Center and the proposed Centennial Olympic Park. Legacy master planned this parcel for an ambitious complex of hotels, condominiums and restaurants and in 1998 broke ground on its first phase. The Embassy Suites Hotel at Centennial Olympic Park was successfully completed to become Legacy’s seminal development project as well as Downtown Atlanta’s first new-build hotel in 15 years.
Legacy returned Downtown with its Centennial Park West condominium project, which delivered the first upscale housing to the area. In 2002, the combined Centennial Park West and Embassy Suites mixed use complex was named "Project of the Year" by the Urban Land Institute of Atlanta. In 2005, the firm adaptively refurbished the historic Glenn Building into The Glenn Hotel, Atlanta’s first boutique hotel. The project was recognized for excellence by the Atlanta Regional Commission, the Atlanta Urban Design Commission and the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
